Favorite Releases from March 2025

March tends to mark a shift. As calendars fill with club nights and festival dates, producers start rolling out records built for movement—weighty, immersive, and often primed for the floor. This month brought a strong wave of releases that leaned into that pressure, with plenty operating in that liminal space between genres.

Vand returned to ISOTOOP with a heavyweight four-tracker that hits hard without losing nuance. Sa Pa dropped “The Fool” deep in the dubby end of the minimal spectrum—patient, detailed, and full of space. ASC continued his path on “The Depths of Space,” turning out widescreen atmospheric drum & bass on Spatial. Tobias. and Doltz blurred the lines on “Versus,” a rich, textural record on Delsin that resists easy categorization. And a handful of artists—Forest Drive West, o.utlier, Ilayruni, Souzo, Pianeti Sintetici, Simon Oak—worked the in-between zones, where techno bleeds into broken rhythms, bass, and beyond. And for those quiet hours, mnemonics’ album on Workshop offered a beautifully rendered ambient comedown.
Choosing ten wasn’t easy—this month was full of worthwhile records—but these stuck with us.
