Lux - Patterns of Perception 78

Lux is the latest DJ who contributed to one of my favorite podcast series, Patterns Of Perception. Berlin-based DJ takes us for a ride through ambient, IDM, and great electronica of the late '90s. This mix can be such an excellent company during your next car ride.

Vladimir Ivkovic - Gop Cast 054

This might be my favorite mix from Vladimir Ivkovic. Known for his uncompromising style that usually incorporates obscure, hard to find records, Vladimir can push the listener to uncharted territories. In this mix, Vladimir creates a warm intro with lush ambient and downtempo tunes, which slowly unfold into an eclectic paradise. Very nice flow in this mix makes it essential home listening.

Mor Elian - Sunday Mix

Crack Magazine welcomes Fever AM co-founder Mor Elian in their latest installment of the 'Sunday Mix' series. As the name suggests, mixes in this series are focused on home listening, and Mo Elian took this opportunity with both hands and delivered a beautiful excursion that slowly unfolds from dubby vibes into an eclectic journey. I loved every minute of it. Well done.

The mastermind behind brilliant Limousine Dream imprint, Gene On Earth is known as one of the artists that keep the House Music vibes alive and fresh whether through his work in the studio, his curation for the label, or his fantastic DJ mixes. For this occasion, Gene prepared a mix for 5918mins. podcast series, a bit slower in BPM than we usually hear from him but flawlessly executed with the excellent track selection.

Saphileaum - OB11

When it comes to slower, let's call it downtempo techno, very few artists can come shoulder to shoulder with the incredible Saphileaum. The Tbilisi-based artist creates extraordinary cosmic, tribal atmospheres both through his original work and his DJ mixes, which interestingly can perfectly fit on any dance floor or home listening. The mix Saphileaum made for our dear friends at On Board Music might be one of my favorite mixes from him. Super smooth, dark, and intricate.

Roman Flügel - See You Soon

Robert Johnson, arguably one of the world's best clubs, has recently started new ambient mix series, "See You Soon," which will go on at least until the club reopens its doors. For its fourth installment, the RJ crew invited a longtime friend and incredibly influential artist, Roman Flügel. In this mix, Roman combines melancholic ambient with dubby atmospheres and creates a marvelous journey that resonates ideally with this cold weather.

VRIL - Bleep Mix #159

Vril is starting the New Year with style. After a fantastic EP on Delsin that came out a few weeks ago, The German producer delivered this mind-bending mix made entirely of his productions and remixes. The mix is focused more on home listening rather than a dancefloor. It's a mesmerizing IDM journey that keeps on giving with each new listening.

Molly invites AIDA - Rinse FM

For the December edition of her Rinse FM radio show, Molly invited Tehran born, SF based AIDA. In 2019 AIDA changed her style when she moved from playing strictly minimal to combining influences from her Iranian roots with House, Breaks, and Techno. In this 'double-header,' both Molly and AIDA explored different shades of House music. During the first hour, Molly kept classic House vibes as a base with the occasional excursion into Acid and Breaks. During the second hour of the show, AIDA went a bit groovier and more into the Tech House realm.

F-on & Jamie McCue - Alpenglühen #55

Another brilliant 'double-header' on our list comes from the Alpenglüchen founder, F-on, and his guest for this month's show, Jamie McCue. The mastermind behind one of my favorite record labels of lately, Silent Season, Jamie McCue, marvelously built up during the second part of the show on the beautiful ambient foundation from F-on. While F-on focused on mesmerizing pads and a completely beatless set, Jamie explored slower Deep Techno depths.

DJ Voices - If Only #81

I needed a mix like this to shake me up a bit. Brooklyn's own Working Women founder, DJ Voices, brings the peak time energy straight to your room. This powerful mix has everything you need, twist, turns, and energy that is enjoyed the best on the dance floor, but blasting this mix on your home speakers will do just fine under these circumstances.

Quarion b2b Iron Curtis - Astral Basement @ Paloma Bar

This mix put a smile on my face when I saw it in my thread. Two phenomenal artists and dear friends, Quarion and Iron Curtis, joined forces for the 10hr all-nighter at Berlin's Paloma Bar in January 2020. So what happens when two House music aficionados meet behind the deck? It's simple, magic happens. In this almost 4.5hrs excerpt from that night, Quarion and Iron Curtis explore many different corners of House music while keeping the positive vibes through the mix.

Nems-B - ümlaut 032

This mix came as a cherry on the top to complete our monthly list of mixes. Straight from the south of France, Marseille comes Nems-B. The producer and DJ we got familiar with through releases on Oslated and On-Board Music. He's also the mastermind behind respectable podcast series Phonons, whose mixes we featured in the past, several times. For this month's list, we have the mix Nems-B made for the Dutch podcast series, ümlaut. The mix is very well-paced, which makes it ideal for listening behind the wheel. Nems-B blends deeper sides of House and Techno and creates a dark but pleasant journey.
