The month of March is bursting with exciting new releases and remixes by David August, Quarion, Frankey & Sandrino, Kris Davis, Mark Poppcke, Dorisburg, Parple and Sei A arriving on labels such as Mule Music, Hivern Discs, Counter Records, Just Another Beat, Crossfrontier Audio, AUS Music, Young Alaska. We hand picked our top ten tracks of the month for you to enjoy.

David August
'J.B.Y.'
Counter Records

 After making a major splash with the post-apocalyptic  masterpiece “Epikur” in 2014 on Innervisions, David August is coming back with an impressive new two track “‘Ouvert” EP, making its debut via Ninja Tune’s Counter records later this month. 
The first of two tracks ‘J.B.Y’, is a hauntingly spellbinding slice of electronic beauty. Gorgeous with a touch of melancholy textures seamlessly merge with ambient atmospherics and strong sense of harmony to create this admirable work of art.

Incredibly talented German producer and Crossfrontier Audio boss, Marc Poppcke, continues to move the needle of his authentic sound with a remarkable remix of Kris Davis’s  hauntingly beautiful ’Interlude’ EP. He throws in a smooth, compelling and introspective darkness to stamp his own unique mark on the composition, resulting in a stylishly deep and elegant interpretation.

'Moorthon II'

Everything that German producer and musician Frank Wiedemann of Åme touches seems to turn to gold, and this is not exception. March finally sees a release of his breath-taking first ever solo  'Moorthon' EP via Innervisions powerhouse. 
Originally released in September 2013, the Y-3 version of 'Moorthon' was created to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Yohji Yamamoto's pioneering sport-style aesthetic. 'Moorthon II' doesn't hold back on its powerful celestial message, driving the listener to a mesmerizing sublimity.

‘Ritual'

Welcome to Parple #1 EP, which is the first of a new, long-awaited Parple series of Hivern Discs releases from John Talabot’s tasteful record label. The first volume will see light of a day on March 25 and will include three stunning tracks of the Parple project. In addition, HVN033 - Parple #1 comes with a 48x48cm poster by artist Jordi Labanda inside each 12’’. The same poster will be available to purchase in a more sophisticated 200gr paper and signed by the artist with a limited edition to 50 copies. 
B-side ‘Ritual’ is subtly unfolding number fueled by a driving bassline, atmospheric pads, acid synth hooks and meandering arpeggiated synths infused with a warm, hypnotic feel.

Consistently impressive Hivern Discs imprint has been having  a great month of outstanding releases. For this release, we see Alexander Berg, who built a superb profile under the Dorisburg moniker. His debut full length 'Irrbloss' EP showcasing the knack for constructing moody and deeply emotional hypnotic soundscapes.
'Cirkla' is a highly dark mystical and interstellar musical adventure which is set to explore deeper shades of cosmic techno and house in between.

'Ansestors' Feat. Will Samson
AUS music

 

Exceptionally talented, ever-evolving Scottish producer Sei A comes to AUS Music imprint with a new full-length landmark album titled "Space In Your Mind". 
“The LP came from writing a lot of music in a short space of time,” says Sei A. “I felt I had grasped a sound and I wanted to expand it further. Musically I was finding that the material had much more space within the sound, with the main structure of it being melodies, therefore giving it quite a rich feel throughout. I was also aiming to expand on writing actual songs that take in verse/chorus, verse/chorus structures.” 
‘Ancestors' is absolutely gorgeous  and powerfully introspective cut. It highlights the emotive power this stunning tune can possess with a simple yet sensual melody complimented by a soulful haunting vocals, pulsing synth and intricate soundscapes.

'Colors'  (Ruede Hagelstein Remix)

Valencia-based producer Darlyn Vlys returns to Berlin's Upon.You Records with an impressive dance floor-slayer  'Colors' EP.  German producer Ruede  Hagelstein delivers a stellar remix of a title track 'Colors' focusing on a powerful, driving bassline layered with a tasty, acid-soaked synth arpeggios and ice-cold Forrest's vocals to produce an intelligent and hypnotic version.

'Vine of the soul' (Powel Remix)

Montreal-based In2Deep is teaming up again with Egyptian producer, Fulltone, to create a stunning and highly imaginative 'Vine of the Soul' EP released on Seven Villas Music.
German producer Powel created a dreamy and elegant house rework by carefully transforming the original elements from a gorgeous 'Vine of the Soul' into a work of delicate and etherial beauty defining poetry in electronic music.

Kris Davis
'Bleak'
Young Alaska

Talented UK producer Kris Davis is the next to make his mark on Christian Löffler’s fledging dance imprint Young Alaska with his deeply emotional and astonishingly haunting ’Bleak’ EP. 
The beautifully textured atmospheric opener, 'Bleak’, is a brooding brew of melodic arrangements, echoing vocals and subtle reflective and melancholic undertones. 
This is what Kris Davis is intent to say about this enchanting offering:
"As an artist I like to try to be diverse in how I express myself. "Bleak" and "Empathy" are an emotional side I have wanted to express for a while.
